Who we are
Short Fuse Electrical is a team of three qualified electricians and an apprentice. We do everything from a single extra socket to full rewires, for homes, holiday lets and small shops.
We are big enough to rewire a house in a week, and small enough that the person who quotes your job is the person who turns up to do it.
Yes, the name is a joke. We have very long fuses with customers: no jargon, no pressure, and a straight answer about what really needs doing.
How we work
Fix the cause
We find out why something failed, so it stays fixed, not just switched back on.
Safety first, every time
Everything isolated, locked off and tested before we touch it, and tested again before we leave.
Leave it tidy
Dust sheets, a vacuum and filled holes. You should only notice what we fixed.
Straight answers
A fixed written price, a clear date, and no pressure to book.
Qualifications and insurance
18th Edition qualified
Every electrician is trained to the current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).
Part P registered
We can sign off our own work with Building Control, so you don't have to.
Every job certified
Tested before we leave, with the right certificate emailed to you.
£5m public liability
Fully insured for work in homes, shops and holiday lets.
Copies of our insurance certificate and qualifications are available on request.
